 ***PUBLISHED***

Recently, Samari Zysk, the editor of Maw Poetry Magazine, emailed me the news that two of the five poems I submitted, "Steal This House" and "Sand Hill: Sparkman Homes, mid to late '80s," have been chosen for publication in the upcoming fifth issue which headlines the theme "listen" that is a dedication to subjects that pique interests. This makes the second installment in the said magazine (I was also published in the first issue) and, as always, this is a nice and humbling experience to know that my words continue to travel outside of my realm. Moreover, I'm happy that these two poems were prior shares with the public via open mic poetry readings, one read in person, the other through a ZOOM meeting not long after the pandemic's inception. Let me include congratulations to all the other poets chosen for this issue as well, and if any poet is reading this who'd like to try their hand at publication or if you're a poetry aficionado, please feel free to use the following link and explore Maw yourself. Also, I will post a notification and link once I'm informed when issue five goes online. Thank you all for your support. -Jarrod

***Publication Update***

Hey, everybody. Though I'm a little tardy in delivering this news, I was recently informed by Maggie Wolfe, the editor of Olit Magazine, that issue #2 is ready for publication, and my two poems, "Brown Water" and "A Twisted Trip Back There," has been officially published in print and on the website, the latter being so nice by the way. Twenty twenty-one has been a great year for poetry and this latest news makes the end of the year, I dare say, so appropriate. Also, this publication marks the first time I was offered a bit of a monetary gratuity for being chosen, which is all well and good, but it's still a humbling experience to know that my poems (as well as others) managed to get through the poetic capacity crowd and be recognized in this way via a greater public. If anyone is interested, the following is a direct link to the Olit site that leads to my poems and I encourage the reading of others' works that have been published as well. They're very good. Thanks for your time, guys. Link:

**PUBLISHED**

Wow! This is so nice. Recently, Maggie Wolff, the editor of Olit Magazine informed me that my poems, "Brown Water" and "A Twisted Trip Back There" have been chosen to appear in an upcoming issue as well as online. Amazingly, the latter poem was recited just 14 days prior to this post for Out Loud HSV and the first poem, which was triggered by a story about a young, black student who was forced to unclog a toilet with his bare hands, was recited for the Rattle Poetry Sunday open mic which I thoroughly enjoyed sharing. When the publication date becomes ready, it will be announced here. Congrats to all the others whose writs were chosen as well. I'm so honored, grateful and humbled. Also, if you're interested in viewing the Olit site, the following link will take you there. Link: https://www.olitmag.com/

Charlie Mills, the editor and founder of the "Ink Drinkers Poetry" magazine, recently apprised me via email that a place has been welcomed for my submitted poem, "The Tenses: Dining Room Montage," in said publication. My poem will appear in the Spring Equinox edition that is themed "Home" on March 21st. As always, I am honored and humbled whenever any words of mine can claim a new home to spread experience, learning and possibly inspiration to the masses, and I express congratulations to all of my fellow poets that were chosen as well and thanks to all who support me. If you are a poet who has a poem that may fit with the set theme of IDP, the following link could be for you.
