Hi, fellow writ-makers. I have continued my literary trek by participating more in open mic events, here in my home town of Huntsville, Alabama  A special thanks to the Coffeehouse Poets, who will be celebrating their 8-year anniversary on 8/21/16, created by T.C. Caldwell and Nakia Underwood, and Out Loud HSV, created by Kimberly Casey, for being so welcoming with warmth. Recently, I surprisingly and unexpectedly won third place at an open mic event that was held at Hops Wild Craft Beer Bar, and the people and especially the talent were incredible.
