Wow! This is so nice. Recently, Maggie Wolff, the editor of Olit Magazine informed me that my poems, "Brown Water" and "A Twisted Trip Back There" have been chosen to appear in an upcoming issue as well as online. Amazingly, the latter poem was recited just 14 days prior to this post for Out Loud HSV and the first poem, which was triggered by a story about a young, black student who was forced to unclog a toilet with his bare hands, was recited for the Rattle Poetry Sunday open mic which I thoroughly enjoyed sharing. When the publication date becomes ready, it will be announced here. Congrats to all the others whose writs were chosen as well. I'm so honored, grateful and humbled.
