***PUBLISHED***
Recently, Samari Zysk, the editor of Maw Poetry
Magazine, emailed me the news that two of the five poems I submitted,
"Steal This House" and "Sand Hill: Sparkman Homes, mid to late
'80s," have been chosen for publication in the upcoming fifth issue which
headlines the theme "listen" that is a dedication to subjects that
pique interests. This makes the second installment in the said magazine (I was
also published in the first issue) and, as always, this is a nice and humbling
experience to know that my words continue to travel outside of my realm.
Moreover, I'm happy that these two poems were prior shares with the public via
open mic poetry readings, one read in person, the other through a ZOOM meeting
not long after the pandemic's inception. Let me include congratulations to all
the other poets chosen for this issue as well, and if any poet is reading this
who'd like to try their hand at publication or if you're a poetry aficionado,
please feel free to use the following link and explore Maw yourself. Also, I
will post a notification and link once I'm informed when issue five goes
online. Thank you all for your support. -Jarrod
