Poem of the day: "Nowhere and Everywhere."

Nowhere and Everywhere

Jan. 13, 2015

Because you are you and

I'm me, we are nonetheless

trees combined in the same

forest or separate, telling

both the same and different

stories,

but the core allegiance

that's within and beneath

us compels our unity to

explore this travel.

***PUBLISHED***

I'm happy to announce that I recently received an e-mail that informed me that  two of my poems, "Get Off the Gas" and "Curb a Little Carcass," have been selected to make an upcoming appearance on "Priestess & Hierophant Press," an online magazine dedicated to literature and arts. Note, this will be the latter poem's second home. I was told that an exact date of publication will be announced when all those whose works were selected will go live on the site.

"Dear Dark" is my poem of the week.

Dear Dark
4.26.14
Your mass is my measure,
your comfort is my masseur,
the length of your encompassing
score is my paramour.
Muse and mindfulness are married.
You are my first museum to glorify
and display my bliss.
You kiss me all over...
More than my nighttime friend, your
clarity includes all the emollient
freshness developed on your walls.
Your abandonment of light provides
insight on all days' events, you are the
coolant, the combatant that strengthens
my vision on whatever I invite and recall.
Many dub you a drape for the grave, but my
nomenclature, second to your likeness, is Freedom.
